The centre includes a wide range of facilities:
- 70 networked computers, at a range of specifications, from entry level PCs to high specification computers for digital video editing.
- 20 laptops, connected via a wireless network.
- 4 interactive whiteboards with electronic voting systems.
- Video Conferencing facilties able to communicate with any VC system in the world over ISDN or ip
- Access to the Internet through a filtered, 10 Mb broadband connection
- 2 teaching spaces able to accommodate 30 learners each.
- a small training room with 12 PCs and interactive whiteboard, used for meetings, technical and small group training.
- a small meeting and training room, containing 6 AppleMac G5 iMac computers with software for design, animation and video editing. the CLC can provide access to AppleMacs software in one of the main PC suites through our set of 8 Mac Minis
- a cyber café with 3 networked PCs linked to the Internet.
The CLC is available to all partnership schools free of charge for many learning and professional development events.
