School

Projects

Abbeydale Grange

The CLC will work with the school to further develop and embed ICT into the wider curriculum. The development of literacy skills will be an over-arching theme and will underpin all projects undertaken with the CLC.

The main focus of projects will be with:
• Modern Foreign Languages
• Religious Education
• Media Arts - In partnership with the CLC Media Arts will take a fundamental role in cross curricular developments.

The CLC will seek to work with the school to develop the Pre GCSE Online Programme in partnership with the Sheffield College.

All Saints

RE and Music are subject areas that the CLC will continue to work with into the coming academic year. In addition to these areas English and MFL will be added with the general remit of developing teaching and learning as well as assessment techniques through the use of appropriate ICT.

• Music –The CLC will support the Music department with the development and integration of ICT into the curriculum with particular emphasis on Y10.
• Art – CLC will support the Art department develop and integrate image manipulation and animation software into the Art curriculum.
• English – The CLC will support the English department in developing its assessment for learning through the use of ICT.
• Modern Foreign Languages – The CLC will support the MFL department in its use of the VLE to as well as developing cross partnership links.

King Ecgbert

In order to further the integration of ICT into the whole school curriculum the CLC will have a role in monitoring the use of ICT across all departments. Supporting departments in the use of the VLE will also form part of this role. The CLC will particularly focus on the following:

• Art and Design –. The CLC will continue to support and follow the progress of ICT within the Art and Design curriculum but in a less formal way than last year.
• English – The CLC will support the English department in its on-going project in association with Bannerdale, re. ICT development in English Y8.
• Physics – The CLC will support the Physics department in its planned development of data logging techniques at all key stages.
• Textiles – The CLC will support the Textiles department with the integration of computer software into the curriculum, with particular emphasis on GCSE.
• Modern Foreign Languages – The CLC will continue to support the department with its on going transformation project.

The CLC will monitor the use of ICT across all departments as well as generally supporting departmental developments with the VLE.

Meadowhead

Assessment for and ofLearning will continue to be the primary area of development. The CLC will aim to help with improving methods of assessment through better targeting of support for learning. Improve attainment among targeted students at Key Stage 3 and help to engage poorly motivated pupils. The CLC will particularly focus on the following:

• Transition programme – working to improve ICT assessment through transition work with primary partner schools.
• ICT - The CLC will work with the ICT department to help develop the DiDA curriculum and its delivery.
• English - The CLC will help the English department to develop whiteboard delivery.
• English – The CLC will help the department develop Pre GCSE English online (blended learning).
• Humanities – The CLC will help the Humanities department with its creative used of the Interactive Whiteboard and consider VLE applications

The CLC will monitor the use of ICT across all departments as well as generally supporting departmental developments with the VLE.

 

Newfield

The school wishes to continue to pursue its teaching and learning agenda across the curriculum. The foci for 2005-06 will be: • Student attainment, especially at KS4 • Changes in pupil attitudes • Improving the quality of the learning experience via an improvement in teaching, behaviour for learning, use of assessment for learning etc.

The CLC will particularly focus on the following subject areas:
• Business, Enterprise & Citizenship KS4.
• Geography: aiming to impact on KS3.
• Physical Education, in particular the CLC will assist in the training and use of Dart Fish software.
Other potential areas on which the school would like to work with the CLC:
• English – GCSE Media.
• Science and History – phase 2.
• Art – developing use of Photoshop.
• Modern Foreign Languages – KS3 oral and listening.

The CLC will monitor the use of ICT across all departments as well as generally supporting departmental developments with the VLE.
